Are you a dynamic, creative, and results-driven fundraiser ready to take on an exciting challenge? We’re looking for a mid to senior-level Fundraising and Business Development Manager to help us unlock new funding opportunities and expand our impact. This is a brand-new role in our growing organization—meaning you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape the position and reimagine our fundraising approach to match our ambitious goals.

In this role, you will:

  • Work strategically and hands-on with the Managing Director and Head of Community & Programming to drive fundraising success.
  • Develop and nurture partnerships for joint funding opportunities, bringing together like-minded organizations for greater impact.
  • Collaborate with our programming and communications teams to craft compelling, high-quality materials that bring our mission to life for potential funders.

Key Responsibilities

As this is a new role, we’re looking for someone eager to co-create the future of our fundraising and drive innovation in our approach. Below are the key areas where we see you making an impact:

Funding Strategy & Pipeline Development

  • Build and manage a strong, sustainable pipeline of funding opportunities to fuel our growth.

Relationship Building & Partnerships

  • Lead the development of strategic relationships between the Humanity Hub and potential funders.
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships for joint funding applications, including opportunities like EU funding.

Grant & Proposal Development

  • Take ownership of funding applications, collaborating across teams to gather insights and ensure alignment with requirements.
  • Support the review and negotiation of funding contracts to secure the best outcomes for the organization.

Financial & Impact Reporting

  • Help develop and contribute to financial and narrative reports to funding bodies, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Fundraising Communications

  • Work with the communications team to create compelling fundraising content that resonates with funders.

Strategic Contribution

  • Bring a fundraising lens to the Humanity Hub’s overall strategy, ensuring financial sustainability and long-term impact.

What You Bring

If you’re passionate about driving change and eager to shape the future of fundraising and impact at The Hague Humanity Hub, here’s what we’re looking for:

Education

  • A completed HBO+ / University (Bachelor’s or higher) degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, International Relations, or a related field.

Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in fundraising, partnerships, or business development.
  • A strong track record in institutional and philanthropic fundraising, particularly in building and expanding a new funder network.
  • Proven ability to develop, apply for, and maintain funding strategies that engage key donors and ensure long-term sustainability.
